iBouquiniste App Reviews

This is one of the worst apps I have EVER used since iPad exists. And I dont mean only in this category. Its clunky, unintuitive and ruins any fun of reading. The original iBooks is a 1000 times better!

I just got the paid version. I think I might ditch iBooks for it. I agree with another reviewer that Id like to be able to make custom collections. Id also like to make the title at top default but removable. Also allow me too look up words off other dictionary apps on device i.e. WordNet. One other thing, I do like the auto night mode other apps have. This app is totally worth it though. Added my calibre app as a catalog. Heaven!

I like it so much,more than I book or even real books

Would prefer to be able to use apples male voice, and I too would like a favorites shelf. Otherwise, absolutely the best app, and the app developer is always very helpful. This is a fantastic app. Youre reading a real page of a book. Much more realistic than nook, kindle or ibooks.

Great app. Only need: highlight, accept link (for index) and password.

IBouquiniste has the nicest interface. I did not have to change page backgrounds or colors just to get started reading. It handles pdfs beautifully. It allows me to change title names. I downloaded it because Marvin quits unexpectedly, even after removing and reinstalling. While i like the overall look much better, i cannot fully recommend iB because i cannot mark a book as a favorite or create a favorite bookshelf for books I want to reread later. Nor can I group related books. Bummer. Recently, I thought I would add an update. I am still using this app, because I have yet to find the perfect one. The brightness and background is perfect for reading, and I like the author sort. However, I still cannot long-press on a word and have it defined well. Plus, I cannot add a book as a favorite or create a collection. That is a big big minus right now.

Like this very much! Had a problem at first, connected support, got quick answer, did what was suggested, works beautifully! Specially like the fact that I can read both epub and mobi with the same reader!
